Purpose: The purpose of this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is to ensure the appropriate use of technology resources provided by Real Estate Training Institute to students, and guests. These resources include but are not limited to computers, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, internet access, software, and digital content. Promoting responsible and ethical use of technology is essential while fostering a safe and productive learning environment.
Guidelines:
Authorized Use: The Real Estate Training Institute provides technology resources for educational purposes and official school-related activities. Users must use these resources by applicable laws, school policies, and guidelines established by the administration.
Responsible Use: Users must demonstrate responsible and ethical behavior when using technology resources. This includes respecting the rights and privacy of others, maintaining the integrity of the network and systems, and adhering to copyright and licensing agreements.
Access Control: Users are responsible for safeguarding their accounts and passwords. Sharing login credentials or accessing unauthorized accounts is strictly prohibited. Users must log out of shared or public devices after each use to prevent unauthorized access.
Internet Safety: Users must exercise caution and good judgment when accessing the internet. This includes avoiding sites with inappropriate or harmful content, refraining from sharing personal information online, and reporting any suspicious or concerning behavior to school authorities.
Data Privacy: Users must respect the privacy of others and refrain from accessing, sharing, or distributing personal or sensitive information without authorization. This includes student records, confidential documents, and proprietary data.
Cybersecurity: Users must protect the school’s network and systems from security threats, including viruses, malware, and unauthorized access. This includes keeping software and security patches up to date, using strong passwords, and reporting any security incidents or vulnerabilities immediately.
Prohibited Activities: The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action:
- Engaging in cyberbullying, harassment, or intimidation.
- Accessing, creating, or distributing inappropriate or offensive content.
- Engaging in illegal activities, including hacking, piracy, or unauthorized access to restricted systems.
- Disrupting or damaging school resources, including hardware, software, or network infrastructure.
- Violating copyright or intellectual property rights by reproducing or distributing copyrighted materials without permission.
- Using technology resources for commercial or personal gain without authorization.
Real Estate Training Institute reserves the right to monitor, inspect, or review any use of technology resources for compliance with this policy.
By using technology resources provided by Real Estate Training Institute, users acknowledge their understanding of and agreement to abide by this Acceptable Use Policy. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disciplinary action and loss of access to school technology resources.
